Bass Pro Shops to Acquire Sportsman's Warehouse

 

In breaking news today, Bass Pro Shops has agreed to acquire Sportsman's Warehouse in an $800 million deal that will add 112 stores to the Springfield-based family. 


 

Well okay then ...

Dang. Just so they stay away from OPS!

SPWH, +39.60% skyrocketed 37% in after-hours trading Monday following news it is being acquired by privately held Great American Outdoors Group, which already owns Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's, White River Marine Group and nature-based resorts. Sportsman's Warehouse will be acquired for $18 per share in cash. The company's stock closed at $12.65 on Monday.
