report on coastside of a spawn at the Alameda Rockwall right now - I'm on the other side of the bay and can't confirm but thought I'd pass along. Post up if you go.

Cheers,
Brad

Just stopped by. No diving birds. No seals or lions. Lots of cormorants and other birds staging. A few gulls and pelicans flying around. I’ll go again around 4 after work and throw a net

thanks for checking. It seems early, but thought I'd share the report from coastside - it was the second report in two days of something going on over there.

Cheers,
Brad

I think it was Ballena bay around full moon, but like chopper said, it is a second/third hand report that I heard as well. With regarding to the comment on "early", my observation for the year is everything seems pushed up, here is what I noticed in 2020...halibut hit OP around Feb, my first inshore salmon was early June at HMB, down south bft was reported early, all my fruit trees were ready to pick by 2-3 weeks earlier. So there is a pattern, at least I believe it.

Some herring have been caught on sakbiki at OP pier last week.  My friend fished it Monday and said it looked as if the birds were thick off the pier...fwiw... :smt006
“I’m going fishing.”  They said, “we will go with you.”

Plenty of birds but not many pelicans; none diving for herring. 6:30-8am drifting the launch/ flagpole area.

It was very nice to meet you this morning.  I am still on the water, nothing yet.
