I caught a nice one early in the morning.  I called it quits by lunchtime as I wasn't getting bit.  Not so many bites yesterday - two to be exact.  Caught a dink largemouth and ~21" striper.  That was it.  Been sticking to the main channel where there is good current.

I've got the Titan set up a little better for fly fishing now.  Took all the rail mounts off, no fish finder etc.  I bought a 10gal blue recycle bin from HD ($10) and glued golf tees to the bottom.  It has been working well as a stripping basket and way less tangles now.  If there is a particular section of bank that I want to really work, I drop anchor to keep me it place for a bit.

Been using a Scientific Anglers Sonar Titan line int/3/5 line.  It's okay.  Lots of tangles.  Not sure if it's the line or me...  Been fishing a fly called "The Chosen One" by Gunnar Brammer - can find on youtube.

Going to try and get out over the long weekend.  Maybe try up the Sac instead of San Joaquin and see how that goes.

I’ve always wanted to try fly fishing from the kayak.  Maybe when I develop a little more skill and patience  :smt001
"Pedo Viejo" is what Antonio called me.

I usually fish for largemouth with 4 or 5 rods and boxes of tackle.  Last two outing have only taken fly rod and 3 flies... it's been refreshing.  I'm not ready to do it yet, but I may just sell all my conventional gear...
