Struggling to get transducer mounted solidly on my kayak... In the pics those screws that you can see are impossible to tighten down with transducer being in the way. Would I just used an angled philips screwdriver?

Can you just take the lock nut off to remove the transducer from the mount? Then screw in the screws to the kayak and reinstall the transducer and lock nut.

There’s a hexagonal slot that the nut must sit in so wouldn’t be possible to screw that on after. The transducer is held by a long screw that can’t be insert once the ducer is in the mount. I think I might be able to leave that loose however, angle the ducer upwards and then screw in the attaching screws for the mount to the kayak.

Lookin' good!  I might've scooted it out of the way of the scupper since they are oblong holes for adjustment, but I'm a bit obsessive about silly things like that.  Time to get that thing wet!
