I work at West Marine and have been waiting to buy a PFD when we got more in stock, but unfortunately it doesn't seem like we'll have good stock of PFDs until next year. Seems like they're sold out everywhere around me. Looking for a solid vest with a clip for radio, and one or two pockets for storage. Similar to the WM Medalist vest. I'm 5'8" and 155 lbs so I think I'll fit a medium/large. Located in Burlingame and willing to pickup locally. Thanks.

CCK is close to your location and I saw they have some PFDs. Call before you go by appointments only. Sometimes they'll slip you in without appointment if it's a quick in/out deal.

Thanks, I'll give them a call. Can't believe I didn't think of them.  :smt044

What about REI?  I don’t know how close they are to you though.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

I would have already but I much rather prefer seeing and feeling before buying.

I had to go Amazon to get what I wanted (designed for paddling and with pockets) recently, could not find anything that fit the bill locally in Santa Cruz.  I did not call absolutely everywhere in town, but everywhere I did look was out of things that fit my needs.  May have to bite the online order bullet...
