Hello all!

New to the group. Got my first (used) kayak a few weeks back. It’s a beater Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 as far as I can tell - been painted over. Been fixing up the rigging, etc. Fishing the Sacramento/Stockton Delta areas so far. Looking to get into the bay and eventually some ocean fishing. Lots to learn. Always looking for something new. Used to fish when I was younger. Life (Work and kids) got busy until the shut downs so I picked up fishing again. Been trying surf fishing  and decided to get into kayak fishing.

Can’t wait to start meeting others from the forum so I can learn what I need to know. Always looking to help out as well!

Barefoot Terry comes from my time as a barefoot ultra runner. Still get out for trail runs when I can.

One only needs two tools in life: WD-40 to make things go, and Duct tape to make them stop.

Hey Terry,

Welcome! Glad you started kayak fishing as well. I'm starting off slow as well. I thought about going out to Crissy on Wednesday but the swell report doesn't look favorable. I will hold off for now. I will wait for a better time. Hopefully will be able to get out in a couple of weeks.

The Prowler 13 is a good kayak. I have an old one too.

Thanks for the welcome, Everyone!!!

I forgot to mention I’m in Stockton, so anyone in the area let me know if you’re headed out on the Delta.

Jim, I appreciate the invite! Chrissy Field and Oyster Point are definitely on my list of trips to do! I’ll probably start out that direction in November while I have some time off.

See ya all out there!
