I have read these forums a little in recent years, but haven't posted. Now that I have access to a decent kayak, I want to get into the sport and hopefully catch some rock fish. Up until now, I have mostly enjoyed fly fishing in the Sierras. I have a lot to learn when it comes to ocean fishing.

So far, I have gathered some good information on where to go on the Sonoma coast. There's a good bit of gear I still need to collect before my first outing, which is why I'm here.

My kayak is a an OldTown Sportsman Bigwater 132. Maybe I'll see some of you folks out there!

Cheers.
