Hey NCKA,
Has anyone rented a kayak for fishing purposes around the bay area? I am here for a few days for work with no kayak, but it looks like I might have time to make it out. I know there are a few places like HMB Kayak, but I'm not sure if their kayaks are too well suited for fishing (or if they like that much). Anyone have experience?

Places like CCK also offer take-away rentals for Hobies and other kayaks.

Not sure when you want to go fishing, I might be able to loan a spare outback and go out with you in the Bay.

Like simplycook suggests, you could probably just ask here and somebody could loan you something. I have Hobie Adventure/Revo 16 that is usually seldom used...
I don't like stuff that sucks.

Will have to give them a call. On their website it says rentals are limited due to Covid. [quote

I always underestimate the generosity of people in this community. If anyone has an extra kayak and is looking for a buddy I would be happy to tag along. Would also be happy to compensate with money/beers/fish.

If you would have been one of the OG I wouldn't have problem loaning you my 2019 Outback, unless some OG would vouch for you. Its not that I don't trust you. Let just say I had unpleasant experienced with non NCKA OG before  :smt002 if anyone wants to vouch for him you can PM me. Thank you.

I've had the same experience.  That's why I offered to go out with him.  I'll bring the kayaks to the location, he'd just need to show up and bring his own gear.
