Kayak and gear is loaded -- planning to launch from Muir as early as I can get in. Hopefully, they're still leaving the one side of the gate unlocked. Winds look super calm all morning.

Cheers,
Brad

Limits by 11:00 - 10.5 lb hen and a 7 lb buck. 45-65’ of water off gull rock 35-40 OTW. Watermelon cut plug was the ticket - couldn’t get bit until I ditched the flasher.

Nice job!  How early were you able to get in?

BTW any scent or tuna in that plug?

They've been leaving the gate unlocked - just go through the left side. I was on the water at 6:30. I had some oily tuna with a little krill powder mixed in for the cut plug. I like the bait, but it wants to put a hell of a twist in the line. I've got a chain swivel and a ball swivel already, but I'm adding another chain swivel somewhere in line next time I go out.

Cheers,
Brad

Great job Brad!  I am going to have to add a set of sand wheels so I can join you next time.

Way to execute on a plan, Brad! Given that the party boats fishing the same area averaged less than half a fish per customer, I'd say that is a limit to be proud of.

Yum - one of my favorite meals after catching a salmon. Burgers from the meat scraped off of the carcass.
