I prefer no noise so I remove my Yakima bars after each session.  It's a snap...

Add a roof rack pad. Common issue with out a pad on them.

Good idea I will try that thank you.

You can use a pool noodle at 18" to test.

I used Aeroblades and found it so much different. much quiet. I like the sound when the kayak are on top. It just means kayak are still there hahaha

A pool noodle will change the whistle to a hum.  Better off to just teach your rack the words to the song.
