Saddens me.  I was all set to go.  Then the fire started.   I have never fished for smallmouth bass ever, and I really have one  on my hit-list.

I’m a public employee civil engineer and I do fire damage repair;  so I KNOW how long it will be before they fix it to the point they can open.   I’m repairing HWY 1 north of Jenner.  All of you driving up there to Timber Cove Have seen the projects.

On the bright side, when they reopen, maybe even a rookie like myself can catch a dumber uneducated, non-pressured fish.  :)

Best wishes to the fire ravaged regions.  My problems are insignificant by comparison.

On the positive side, Berry hasn’t been fished much lately and the fish may be more willing. If they haven’t choked to death, that is.
"Pedo Viejo" is what Antonio called me.

Lake Sonoma has plenty of SMB. So does the Russian River. Lake Mendo too. Lots of other places to catch a smallie, but yeah, it sucks having options limited due to natural disasters.
