Shout-out to Hobie and CCK for customer service

I wanted to share my recent experience with Hobie and California Canoe and Kayak. My 2019 Outback, that was well out of the warranty by 1-2 years, developed a crack at the base of the cup holder. I contacted Harley at CCK to ask about the possibility of fixing it and was advised that it would be possible and he would contact Hobie to see if they would cover it, even though it was out of warranty. To my surprise Hobie said they would replace the entire hull!!! I picked it up on Wednesday and I'm super excited to get it rigged up and on the water. Thank you Hobie and CCK!!

Nice!! I stopped by CCK Oakland earlier this week but they were closed. It looked like the retail part was dismantled any maybe only ran as a kayak rental spot.

I agree, CCK is outstanding.  The owners are embedded to the kayaking community and the staff are kayak fishing nut case like us.  I never hesitate to spend my money there.

Not sure if you went to the old or new location but the old location is by appointment only for rentals. The new location handles retail.

Good to hear!! I had a similar crack, at the right side cup holder, on a ‘20 OB. Took a tag team effort between my dealer and I to get a replacement hull.
