Where does everyone launch from in Marin County? They closed the parks paradise and McNear’s because of the smoke. Was thinking I try Loch Lomond and pick up some live anchovies. Trying to get used to the bay and then try hitting the beaches.

In the bay I go out of Point San Quentin, but you've got to watch the tides as it gets shallow there.  Also can launch from where the windsurfers go off on the western side by Larkspur Landing.  Parking available at both, but don't leave anything valuable in your car.

This sounds like a similar question I answered in one of the FB kayaking groups.  San Quentin Beach and the Larkspur area have areas you can launch.  Like mentioned above, dont leave valuables in the car.

Fort Baker and Sausalito is also doable.

Thank you! I am going to try launching from one of those places. Won’t leave anything valuable. I will probably try larkspur landing. I will keep you updated on how it goes

Right on thank you! I am sure a lot of things get repeated here and can be annoying I am a n00b.

Since you’re in SF, I’d consider Oyster point or Crissy Fields as well. A friend of mine has been catching halibut from shore as Crissy.
