Thanks in advance. I’m primarily a fly fisherman coming into the conventional tackle world after a long time.  I have a Lexa 300 arriving that I had planned on pairing with a Shimano Trevala. Looking for a bit of a do it all rod for Salmon, Hali and rock fish.  It now seems likely I will find Sasquatch before a 7 ft Trevala.

What are other candidates I should be considering?  Would love to buy locally (Oakland) to be able to fish now. Budget is around $200

Daiwa Harrier jigging rod - HRJ70MB
7'0 medium

should be about $100.  Good for halibut and rockfishing.  Doable for salmon, but you'll want a longer 8' ish rod with more bendo for them.

Check out the Ugly Stick Tiger Elite casting-jigging rods.  I have one rated for 3/4-4 oz. lures, and another rated for 4-7 oz. lures, and they are my favorite jigging rods. They are both about 6'6" and are medium heavy rods.  They cost about $80 each. If the gimbal on the butt of one of these rods is too big for your rod holders, cut it off.  I like to jig with the butt of my rod in my armpit, and the Tiger Elite rods have nice long butts.  To make it even more comfortable to jig with those rods, I lengthened their butts, as shown below.  This lets me jig with my rod hand comfortably in front of my chest while operating the spool release on the baitcaster reel with my rod hand, rather than tucking my hand back by my armpit as you have to with a rod with a short butt.

If your Daiwa Lexa 300 doesn't have a power handle, I recommend that you replace the two-paddle handle with a counterbalanced power handle.  I find the little two-paddle handle inadequate for winching up big fish.

I have my Lexa 300 paired up to a St Croix Mojo Inshore 15-30 7'6". MIC76HF. It's slightly long for the kayak, but that lends it a bit more versatility if you hitch a ride on a sportie or want to cast a swimbait to a stone you can't get too close to.
St Croix has a reputation of being stiffer than the advertised rating, and this rod is no exception -- definitely want something with more flex for salmon. Better off getting a cheaper dedicated rod for that application. The Daiwa North Coast is a good bet and you could get both of these rods for close to your budget. The Mojo inshore has great lift and really puts the wood to bottom fish. Have even caught yellowtail on it!
That being said, you don't need to spend much on a cod rod. That Daiwa Harrier is a great stick for the money and there are plenty of even cheaper jigging rods on the market (tsunami, kuying, ugly stick etc).
Shoot me a PM if you want to throw an arc into the mojo or a north coast! I'm in Oakland. Get most gear from Bay Tackle these days.

Second the harrier. Sweet rod for $99. I think I saw a few left at next adventure online store.

Do you want the 7' Trevala? Do to an Amazon mix up, and me being too slow on the return, I have an extra 7'ML Trevala jigging rod. I figured it was gonna be my back up but Id pass it on too. Still has the tag, never used, tho I tossed the box to save space. I paid $140, I can show you my Amazon receipt, I am not willing to take a loss bc as I said, Ill just use it eventually. It is a great rod. If you want to pay what I did from Amazon at the end of June you can have it. Bonus, I am in Oakland too.

I have Shimano Trevala XL on my Lexa 300 best combo I've had for RCG fishing.
