I screwed up making a post and want to remove it but I don't see that option.  Help!

If you go to the top right corner of your post you should see options quote, modify, and remove.

What I want to know is how you delete someone else's post!

You can't remove the original post in a thread that you started, but you can modify it including the title. Some people have removed their posts by just putting a period in the subject line, and the body of the post. If you post in a thread you can completely remove it using the remove function, just doesn't work with the beginning post.

I get this question every now and then about why you can't delete a thread you started.  Here's the rational.  When you delete a thread, you delete every response that other people posted to that thread.  We didn't want to give people this ability to censor others.  You can delete your own responses to a thread or edit your thread starter post to whatever you want.  You just can't delete or edit others posts.
