Wow.  100 people at 9pm at Tunitas beach hunting Dungees?  When the roads and beaches were closed due to fire?  Any other good and I would think organized crime, but Dungees?  WTF?

I can't even imagine 100 people crabbing (I presume snaring?) at the same time at that beach. Are we sure it wasn't 100 crabs poached?

Crazy either way

I know right? It says they broke like 4 or 5 laws. People are unbelievable sometimes!

Disgusting what some people will do. Hats off to local law enforcement for paying attention.

I hope they throw the book at them.

According to the article, some were cited for being over the limit. So,
limits still apply even if you are fishing illegally out of season...

I'll tell you what this means, Norm... No size restrictions and screw the limit!

seen this happen before. Hordes of people dragging landing nets behind them scooping up anything they can.  I called someone out last year for doing this (i was on the beach with some buddies cooking a tritip) and he told me "Its not the crab season, but tonight its our season"

I let the air out of his tires when we left before him and called cal tip

Shameful.  :smt009 With stuff like this going on and more people than ever taking from a finite resource, I hope our fisheries can hold on in the future.
