Sad Day for Pats Fans

It is with heavy heart I learned today that Tom Brady has announced he won't be going back to New England.  I know their a lot of people who are happy about this, but as much as I love the guy, the day he dons another Jersey he is now the foe.  I am a Pats fan (for that matter I am an all Boston Fan) true to my roots. Sorry Tom you and Bill brought one of the worst teams in League to greatness, and for that I will be forever grateful. I wish you much success with your future team, unless you are playing NE. Then I hope you get mauled.

I hope he retires and goes to a booth, but he wants to play some more.

Well we picked up Cam Newton for a song.  The Chief blew their minds and wallet and paid how much for Mahomes?  Crazy money. doubt they will see another SB.   Gronk came out of retirement to play with Tom.  It will be an interesting season.

Amazing pick up indeed.  If he bought in to the Patriots Ways, it will be very exciting to see.  And yeah, Gronk to Tampa was a surprise, but in a way it is not.  Patriots is the only one who lost an MVP QB and gained another MVP.  Definitely a great deal.  Hope Cam Newton has a chance to proof his worth, he sounded like he is willing to go the distance.

Fuck football.  NFL has shit the bed and I am just not interested anymore.  It helps that my Chiefs finally won a Super Bowl but I could honestly care less about their phoney social justice bullshit and shitting on the flag.

Schill's, as a Vet, I get sick when I see it happen. I also get sick when I hear that people are killed for a simple pull over.  Many of my friends from back in the day when I was a Paramedic are in LE and even they shake their heads.  Do the police need force?  Without a doubt, likewise everyone being pulled over needs to be treated decently. I know when I was medic I had to check myself a few times because I would develop an attitude about a certain neighborhood the patient lived in. It is easy to go in to that spot. After loosing my brother to an overdose, I treated addicts differently, because everyone of them reminded me of him.

I don't agree with kneeling, but it is a peaceful way of showing you don't agree. Far better than seeing a city in flames, lasers intentionally aimed at cops,  and occupying city blocks.  This was a problem we didn't fix in 1865, 1969, 1980's, 1990's, or 2020's.  So until it is done to a point where we get away from mistreatment of others (which is problem for all of us, not just whites only), this will not go away.  I don't claim to know the answer but I know some things will have to change, some of those actions are taking place now. The removal of Confederate statues, stars and bars on state flags, banning the confederate flag on military installations, are long over due IMHO. Will it be enough, I doubt it.
