It sounds like the bite is holding longer today......maybe long enough for a kayaker to get out to it?  I hear success between SC and 3 trees.
Anyway, I can go Thursday morning.  Any takers?  I don't care if we launch from Santa Cruz or Moss.

Dear Pat:

I'll go out with you if, you let me catch the first fish and, don't leave me in your wake! I'll be at the West harbor Thur. at 5:00 AM. I will be heading for the one-mile Can,and maybe  to Steamers.

Hiya Ernie,
I'd be delighted if you would catch the first fish!  However, it doesn't sound like the salmon are that close in.  I'm figuring a 4-6 mile excursion out past the 1 mile buoy.  Some serious trolling opportunities!  Sounds great, don't ya think?
Pat......looking for that aerodynamic Apex

Hi Pat.

I just received the headsup on Pleasure Pt. from Allen
Quote:
late breaking news a guy just cme in with a 25 pounder from 109 feet of water off pleasure pt. 6pm tuesday night. He was using an rsk green .
Is there a launch site at Pleasure Pt.? Looks like a long paddle from the West harbor. I need to have the rental back at Kayak Connection by Noon so, I'm Game for trolling but,  not sure about a 6 Mile one way trip. My adverage is about one mile per 1/2Hr. I will go pick up a radio so we can stay in touch in the event,  you leave me in your wake!

Sounds great, Ernie.
I have a GPS and so will have that Pleasure Point, 110 feet, area dialed in so that we know where we are headed.  This looks to be only 2-3 miles out.  I get 36'55/121'59.
Being off the water by noon works great for me.
See you in the morning.

Pat

Hi Pat:

I'm in for Pleasure Point. I  will set my radio to Ch. 11 and, will monitor 69/ 72. I will be in Santa Cruz around 4:30 today to pick up the Yak and, a fish Report.

Almost everyone came in with limits, or near limits today. Out fishing the elusive (save a shorty) Santa Cruz halibut, I saw a flotilla of boats about 2.5 miles NW of the mile buoy. Back at the harbor my PB buddies said they caught their fish in shallow.
Good luck!
Livin tha pirates life full time! Catchin big cbass in tha kelp all summer long Have fun, live well, conserve the resource, and ask me about my secret fishing spots. but I probably won't tell you, cuz their secret!
