I'm wanting to find a place for Father's day to take the family mostly to swim and sail the AI around.

I've never been, but I was thinking Berryessa?  I know some of the boat launches are open, but are there any areas of the lake people would recommend for wading and grilling?  It says the following areas are closed:
Oak Shores Day Use Area
Smittle Creek Day Use Area
Administrative Office and Visitor Center
Tent camping and lodging

I’ve seen lots of people at oak shores so it must have something going for it. I don’t know if it’s been reopened yet though.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

There's a couple of places up by Putah creek that has bbq picnic beaches.  They have launch ramps and should be open.

Thanks for the info!  I'll post an update tomorrow.  Impossible to know what to expect in the current environment.

It was pretty strange.  Oak Shores is supposed to be closed in the website and they had a sign that said closed, but rangers were letting everyone in... Except if you had a trailer.  And the areas that allowed trailers didn't allow day use.  So we kept going north along the lake until we found a pull out that had a little trail I could cart the AI down.  Not the cleanest shore (dog shit and occasionally glass) where we ended up but was still a good time overall.
