Just legal But -- how much meat

Have caught a few 22 and 23 inch halibuts recently. I let them all go bc it seems like they would make for some pretty small/thin fillets. Am I wrong, is there enough there?

I'm with you. I generally try to release any that are less than about 26".

No shame in releasing to give the fish has an opportunity to gain weight for the next hook-up.
