So... all the salmon reports got me wanting to head out. Looks like the play is either Pacifica or Bolinas.

Anyone know of the parking situations at both locations?

Would probably head out Tuesday (although Tuesday at Linda Mar looks... sporty)

Thanks!

As of May 18th Marin SIP orders, the entire Marin coastline, including Bolinas, is closed to motorized access. Please do not go to Bolinas, or anywhere on Marin county coastline, to fish. The town of Bolinas is rightfully sensitive to this issue, they have zero coronavirus among their residents (UCSF based research) and would like to keep it that way. Any violation will only delay it for the rest of us.

Linda Mar is San Mateo County and they allow coastal access before 11am, I believe. I do not know the local parking situation, but as I read the SIP orders, it sounds like it is permissible to enter the ocean before 11am to fish.

This is true. Unfortunately they still have all the parking closed, so although its legal to go, you cant really park anywhere as most of the streets are closed off and occupied by the residents..  Like Marin County, San Mateo is hoping people respect this.

The parking lot outside Norcal Surf Shop and the grocery store is currently the only option for Linda Mar. I went surfing there the other day and literally the only people parking there were surfers. I suppose kayak launching there is feasible, I might try it out myself. Just get there EARLY or else it'll be swarmed by surfers.

It was a slow day yesterday. I was I'm my PB from Rocky Piont to Duxbury trolling. No nets flying.

The beaches were packed yesterday in Linda Mar. That being said the street parking that was all closed off and enforced ticketing is no longer in place on Crespi.

And SIP also means Sharks in Pacific.  Let’s stick with the restrictions.
