Sonoma County has opened up the Westside boat launch in Bodega Bay, anyone have any reports since the reopening or is anyone planning to go out?

What a privilege. I'm still waiting for Santa Cruz County to pull its head out of its a$$ and open the SC harbor boat ramp...
I don't like stuff that sucks.

It's not a privilege, it's a right that's been stripped from us. Our tax money pays for these state park launches. There was no reason to close them in the first place. These insane  overreaching orders never guaranteed anyone saftey. Just like you said,  these tyrants need to get off their power trip. People are getting pissed and won't tolerate it to much longer.

Westside launch is a ways from the jetties and  open ocean for kayakers. Add to that running the gauntlet of PB's buzzing in and out of the channel. We need to have beaches, think Doran, and coves, Ft Ross, TC,SWN, Salt Point open before one has access to kayak fishing.

Westside boat launch is no place for a kayak IMO. But for Sonoma county it’s just about all that is open. I would not suggest trying to go through the channel with all the boaters and the strong tides.

Went out there just to have a look in the lense of a kayaker, you were spot on.

I have "friend" that still works at the county.. "they`re" trying to find a way to monitor those with Sonoma county residence only at SWN,Doran..pretty sure they have a grasp on that

TC,OC bring private and Salt Point,Ft.Ross being state not sure about restricting it to County residences only

But hey anything is possible

just what  I "heard " anyway...

My "friend" works for the county as well. He hopes his co-workers can make this a reality because he's almost to the point of bribing a ranger to let him launch from the beach 😉.
