Need Marine VHF radio

Going to order a Marine VHF radio to keep on my kayaks. Thinking about the Standard Horizon HX300. Anybody have one or have something else they would recommend for the $$ (~$130). Maybe the HX890-GPS. Just has to be water resistant, floats, reliable, and decent range. Thanks for the help.
