Ft Ross 7-21-07 ~Quantity not Quality

On the water and fishing by 7:45, off by 1:30. Caught and released 10 blacks and blues in the first 18 minutes. The bite slowed down more and more from that point on.
All in all I caught and released 28 fish on everything from swim baits to herring to shrimp. Two chinas, 7 gophers, 1 olive and the rest a mix of blacks and blues.
The wind picked up considerably by 9:00 and the drift was too fast to be very productive on anything else.
Had one decent take down that chomped my 9" mackeral in half.
I was tying off to kelp from 11:00 on.
