I would really like to try out several kayak choices before buying... we used to have a local guy who would schedule an outing day on the lake with a group of people to do just that...  try out different styles and sizes. Does anybody do that anymore? I'm in the Foothills, but would travel to do this.  Thank you all!

You've got to be true to yourself.

Call Dan at Headwaters. In Lodi. He will be your best bet to setup something like this. In a normal year he has an annual event that you described but this is not a normal year

Post your approximate location or areas that you are willing to go for on water trials.  It would be very helpful if you do that.  Nearby members may take up your offer on this and guide you with some advice.
