Hey all, just started kayak fishing this month, what poor timing. Got a lifetime tamarack angler from my friend's dad who wasn't using it. Been out twice from Santa Cruz, and got a smaller ling my second time.

Now the beaches are closed and I'm looking for ways to get out on the water.

Welcome aboard.

Yes, unfortunate timing, but at least we'll have a fishing season. I'm hopeful that beaches will reopen soon, and with luck, the harbor will not be far behind.

In fish all the time in Santa Cruz, so I'm sure I'll see you on the water. Just look for a yellow Hobie AI with sail...

Thanks for the warm welcome friends.

NowhereMan, I'll keep an eye out. I'll be fishing with a buddy who's on a little Sun Dolphin lake kayak (my friend's dad also gave me) and another buddy, big guy, on a giant blue yak. Paddle over and say hi.

Welcome to NCKA Todash  :smt006  We should follow the SIP order to help with the 3S's: Stay home, Stay safe, Save lives.  So far it seems to be working and hopefully we'll be back OTW sooner.

Sorry, should have been more clear. I'll be out once beaches/the harbor reopen.
