It’s about about what you’re eating on da wattah that triggers a take down...homemade sourdough with butter s&p quattro cheese OO and basil, steel cut oats with walnuts vanilla coconut milk and honey, carnitas burrito cold with Taco Bell hot sauce, yeah I’m bringing the bottle... and a trusty spoon...if that doesn’t work throughout the day I’ll just take a leak and all goodstuff will break out and hopefully have one on the stringer...don’t cheat yourself with snacks on da wattah.  Bon Appetit’... :smt006

It kinda worked, was finishing up my oatmeal around 2:45 bounce bounce, pick up rod while dropping food bag and brawl on.  Thought it was a ray but different kind of fighter...strong and not as all over the place as a ray and then the flash...good size striper...in the net and managed to ikejime it as a practice on the kayak.  The skull is all bone so I had to find the soft spot behind the skull and spike.  Cut gills...bleed out, now the wire...snipped the tail to the spine, also to bleed from the tail for a through pump out, and found the channel, ran the wire and the fins responded appropriately by stretching suddenly and resting.  I say my menu kinda worked because this was not the target species yet a welcome guest to the table...29”...:smt006

Yeah buddy, pb&j is the standard often in my arsenal but occasionally my palette craves savory on the water.  I’ve been chowing jolly ranchers for desert or mid snack supplement.  Gotta stop chewing em’ down though.  I can see my teeth getting all jammed up with artificial goodness... :smt006

Wow, what care on the water!

Judging from your gourmet snacks, I'm surprised you didn't start slicing striper sashimi while you were out there  :smt005

I do think that way and am grateful for not too much fiber in the kayak... :smt005...in general, gourmet leftovers thrown in a ziplock with appropriate utensils, pasta and bolognese, leftover mozzarella basil tomato, soggy salad sometimes...bon appetit, don’t forget the old leftover fish in a bag that you are hunting, cold hali piccata and some sourdough, smoked salmon...hey!  I got an idea, no really....if I brought a tuna fish sandwich???  That’s the ticket, tighten that helmet strap and buckle your seatbelt, we’re going fishin’! :smt006
