Lol, thanks for all the responses, love 'em all!  Yeah, 65 degrees, could be off by up to 2 degrees, it was very warm.

Good guess, I had to look it up, but they grow pretty big!  This was during the day, 10am-ish.

I guess there are two things that of curiosity.  The vertical lines and the big mass.  Kelp for the vertical lines and giant pacific octopus for the big mass?  Anybody else?
