I am a newbie. Would like to know if winter season a good time to go out sea fishing? e.g., Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb during those months is it too cold to go out?

Thanks,
John

I would say that the winter is the worst season for kayak fishing in the ocean around here.  It's not so much about the temperature which tends to be fairly constant year round, rather the ocean is a bit rougher in the winter and more importantly, the season for just about everything you'd want to fish for is closed.

a few years back I bought my first kayak in early August and it wasnt delivered until december.  so amped up I took it out a lot anyway and the bottom line is that the swells are bigger, the likelihood of being alone much higher and I hope you like sanddabs as that is about the only thing to fish for.  I would say by far in our area June-sept is the sweet spot

Put a pot-puller on your yak Johlee. Dungies are as prime as salmon around here and you can get em all winter. You just gotta have the cojones to brave the swells.
