Jody,

The going rate was .50 a pound to clean fish, .50 to cut/clean into chunks, .50 to vacum pack, and .50 to freeze.  Then they get you for the boxes, which run about $15 each.  Since we cleaned and cut our own, it worked out to be $1/lb, plus the box.  they cut us a hell of a deal though (we brought them a pile of cooked crab), so our 210 lbs, boxes and all was only $170.

We only took one checked bag each, so we were able to bring home a 50lb box free, then split the extra charge ($50) for the other box.  Not too bad of a deal.  If you're staying at a lodge, they'll probably take care of all this for you though.  Good luck, and have a blast!

Thanks for the info Ben.  I can't wait to get up there!  Starting the trip on Vancouver Island for a couple of days.  Will try some fishing there as well.

Notuna,

I'm staying at Tim Bergs place here it Soldotna. Great place, but kinda pricey. They'll let you have two boxes of fish for free (your catch) and it still will cost you $50 to carry the extra one home.
