There are definitely some BIG stripers in that river!  Once caught a 12" trout and had about a 15 lber drive by for a looksy.    :smt007

Might want to check the spelling on stripers, unless you were talking women!   :smt003

That is exactly how I spelled this bass when I first posted about stripers. I think strippers should refer to these fish when their stripping line off your reel.
Where at in Oakdale did you put in and what did your striper hit on? I was thinking of hitting Del Valle but if the bite is good there I may change my plans for tomorrow. Thanks Frank and Thanks for the report.

I support both.  The swimmie things and the ones with two legs. :smt007

I was out in my kayak on Sat. morning from 5 am to 9 am chasing stripers. No stripers, but did get one LMB on an x rap.

Hey dilbeck, just let me know the next time you want to hit the Stanislaus, it's piratically in my back yard.  I am open most Sunday mornings.

I've been busy and haven't been checking this board as often as I would like.

Hey Jeff, nice catch and welcome to the board.  I was the one in the red yak back in January/February out at Woodward.

Haha, nice to run in to you again. I never thought I'd ever buy one. Now that I sold my aluminum boat, and bought one, it's the best decision I have made yet.

Glad you are enjoying your kayak.  We will have to hook up on the local water sometime.

I went down by the dog pound/pond about three weeks ago, the only thing I caught was a sunburn.  Everytime I go there and see all of those large carp I keep wanting to try bow fishing.  I'm not sure how practical it would be from a kayak, but at least the water is warm this time of year.
