My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Nice fish. My 80 gal bow front is empty except for a 10" long plecostumus Wish I was closer.
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Hello from a fellow fish keeper.  Being an african cichlid keeper, I am not able re-home a discus. However, if you ever find yourself in Monterey pay a visit to Ultimate Aquarium.  The owner Larry is a great guy and will happily take fish for store credit.

too bad my Koi pond isnt heated, he would be very happy in such a large space...

it is often a case of tetras (many of which are fin nippers) or more delicate finned and slower moving ornamental fish...

Just thought I would share a pic of one of the nicer fish currently in my collection. This is not the first time ive kept Nimbochromis venustus, bit its the nicest one Ive had. Fully colored up by 4 inches.  He is about five inches now.   Curious how many other fish keepers are here.

I used to breed and raise cichlids, then got into saltwater and corals. At one point I had 2 40b’s set up along with a 120 and a 50 cube. Was breeding cardinal fish (mouthbrooders and super easy) and trying to breed clownfish. I could get them to lay, but never could raise the fry. I had a dedicated “fish room”. That was fun, but very expensive and time consuming so it went away.

Currently I have a 10gal nano sized reef tank. I’m considering a slightly larger either 40 or 50 cube. Maybe try to keep it simple this time!
