Just got off the phone with Ty. He is living and working in Truckee for the summer. He works at "Sweets" the custom candy/chocolate store right next to the White Buffalo store in downtown Truckee.Stop bye and say howdy! His uncle owns the Wht Buff. He and his Uncle and Cuz went 70 miles out of Monterey to go for Albies-21' ski centurion. bite was slow, they caught 4 (two for Ty, two for his Cuz) 15-20lbs. Lost a few. 4hrs out 4hrs back=LONG DAY. I hope he saves me some!!!!

Those have got to be the "cleanest" albies I've seen.  Where's the blood?   :smt002

Good going Ty.  Perhaps this year I'll get back on the albies.  With kayak fishing taking over my time, and the tuna not coming in strong in the Monterey area, I haven't caught an albie in 2 years.

This quote alone warrants more pics and details.....did they at least pull a skier to and fro??

Do you know how many cute girls parade through that candy store everyday? He is going to be impossible when he gets back. I don't have anymore details on the trip yet. I do know it got a little sloppy on the way back in. Wind chop. Ty's Uncle grew up watersking going out to Catalina and back. I felt pretty safe for Ty whith his experience.
