Well, I’ve seen pics of deer that wouldn’t weigh 200# on truck hoods.
Warning! Retiree; Knows it all and has plenty of time to tell you about it.

Hate to be "that guy" but,

Sad that it was killed for a photo op  :smt009

Anyone eaten one of these dinos, or are these just a "stuff and mount" fish?

That's what I was thinking but apparently they are edible and lots of youtube recipe vids.

As long as it's eaten I'm OK with it.

Now that outfit  :smt009

Maybe Darius can pull it off?

In his defense of the “outside” of the truck, it is a suburban look through the windshield. But that things going to get cooked unless he’s 2 minutes from home, could have easily pulled it up the windshield to the roof with the kayak. He had 2 ratchet straps. I have seen “idiots” with game animals on there hood stopped off for a beer and you know that hoods hot, half cooked before its even skinned! No thanks, I prefer to hang and skin on the spot and prop the cavity open to cool. Same reason I bleed all my fish.... quality is in the handling of the meat!

I too would like to catch something that I have to be creative in figuring out how to get it to shore with the kayak... Something of that range will get to ride inside of the Suburban for the trip home, might even get it’s own seat belt.
Usually out of the running for Husband of the Year by January 4th of each year...

I know one guy who caught a big ole sturgeon but forgot his cooler.  He wrapped it up in his Waders for the long drive home.   If I remember correct, the fish quality was preserved but the waders took a lot of work to deodorize.  who can tell me what the angler's name is?
