What were you using? Did it feel like a big one? I was thinking about heading down Friday, or maybe Fort Bragg for salmon.

I  was using frozen chovies and it felt like a biggun. it towed me around for a while and then broke of my 30lb braided line. there was a game warden waiting at the boatramp when i came in checking everyone. he said someone came in before me with 3 butts.

I got one around 3:30 just below hog island on jig.   24 inches.  I know people have been putting a few in.  Weather should be good for the next couple of day.  Good luck.

I basically take a 2 oz. white hair raiser (striper jig) and put a glow in the dark 5 inch squid over it.  For some reason they love it.
