I was getting itchy to go out since I haven't been fishing in awhile due to the dang wind.  It seems like every weekend is windy or the Salmon bite is off!!!  OK,  enough monku...

We planned to go to Pt Pinos for Salmon but we made a last min. change of plans and decided to go to HMB to fish Montara for a quickie rockfish trip.  We headed out of the harbor and hit some steep waves...I decided to go back. The swells were too close together for my Montauk. Dang!!!   We fished a bit near the harbor but I started getting seasick so we decided to try for some butts in the bay.

We launched out of Oyster Point and dragged dead bait around near Candlestick for nada.  We moved to the water discharge spot at Oyster and metered a bunch of bait so we worked it hard.  We ended up with a few shakers and one keeper to save the day.  The Tempura Halibut was great too!!  Hope the local fishing improves!!  This has been a tough year so far!!!
