It's just that after 16+ years of twisting them off...old habits die hard!  I guess I'll just have to keep "practicing!"   :smt004

Twist offs are bad for beer.  They are a very poor oxygen barrier, and beer stales much faster with twist offs.

Cans, on the other hand, are excellent for beer.  They are the best light/oxygen barrier there is, and contrary to belief, do not impart any off flavors.

There are several microbreweries that are installing canning lines.  21rst amendmant in SF and Sudwerks in Davis are both canning right now.

At any rate, Sierra Nevada has invested a lot of money going to pry off, and they are not gonna go back.  For the record, there twisties were some of the hardest to remove in the industry anyway.....

Chris,

In my not so humble opinion, beer is not just about flavor. There are visual and tactile sensations that come from drinking out of a bottle, or pouring from a bottle, that just are not equaled by beer from a can.

Regards,
Scott

That is exactly why there is very little craft beer in cans.  Consumer perception.

[Beer snob]A true connesiure of beer never drinks from the bottle/can, and always decants his/her beer into a glass appropriate for the style[/beer snob]

I was just stating that, for single serving size, the can is the best container for beer to preserve its flavor.

Mol, Congrats and the new job.  Chico is so hot in the summer you really need beer to survive there.  Welcome back.  I always like to read your posts and trash talk.

CONGRATS on the career change ( that didnt take long) and welcome to the neighborhood! Both Ken and his Son are residents here in Forest Ranch. They both have helped support our FFA chapter and from what I hear their people love working for them. Can't wait to have you close enough for a pickup/dropoff partner. The Sac river offers alot of opportunities. Randall
