I took a tandem kayak gifted to me on Del Valle to see if it leaks.  Turns out it has a slow leak, but was still able to hook a few stripers.  My first fish caught on a kayak was this doozy.  Tons of fun, can't wait to patch up the yak and get back to fishing.

Big stripes! Sounds like you had a good time. How big were the other stripers? I planned on going this weekend, but ended up having to do some stuff. Hoping to be on the water next weekend.

Saw some pretty big ones jumping in the morning right when the park opened.  Another one I hooked but lost when it jumped near the kayak looked 18-24 inch.  Definitely slowed down as the sun got higher, but still a fun day!

Would you try to eat something that’s equivalent to 25% of your body length?  Fish really have balls!

Yeah, it's a fun day.  Caught a few straight across from the boat launch and then sent up the coast a bit toward the dam.  Best luck across from the launch early morning.  Good luck!

That's a great lake for fishing and camping. I have seen locals pull nice-size stripers out of there. Not me. Still haven't figured it out. Picked up some nice trout and smallies out of there though
