Going to give HMB a go in the morning. Launching from the old pier around first light.

Cheers,
Brad

Lines in at 6:30 off the water 2:30. Had one on a WMA for a second but the hook popped -- gotta sharpen that one before going out again. I got the hook-up during a flurry of activity around 9:30 in front of the jaws in 50' of water. Three fish 15-20lbs were landed in about five minutes right around me. There had been a big bird pile right before that so the salmon must have been pushing up the bait. As quick as it started it was over. Heard of other scattered reports of other fish being caught so they are still out there. I hooked up at 30' OTW and the other three fish were also about 30' down. They're still out there - go get them.

Met Nate who was going out for the evening bite - hope one developed.

Cheers,
Brad

I'll be there launching in the dark from the HMB Kayak.  Camo Hobie PA14 Ch. 69; I'll going to troll for Salmon till I get bored, then jig up some small rockfish/bait and try for Lings and Hali's.

Hey Brad, great meeting you and thanks for the intel last night!

I trolled until dark thirty switching between a watermelon apex and KA and had one good bite on the apex but nothing landed.

Plan A is to head back out Sunday!

Good seeing you yesterday Brad. I saw Nate rolling in as I left (can't miss him in his monster truck/van).
I had a good one on at 8:00. Fought it for 10 minutes and brought to the boat. I could see that it was barely hook on the lip. I had one good chance to net it, and I f'dup. Old#7 was watching and filming me the whole time. When I lost the fish, I looked up and could tell from his face he was thinking what a f'ing idot ;)  No more bite for me after that.

StaightFishing showed up late with his bud MoreThanFishing. They came late but got it done with two fish. What a stud.

If I had bagged that fish I would've been done for this season. Now maybe give it one more go?

Hey Ernest thanks again for helping me out and letting me borrow a rod! You're such a good guy and friend! Although no fish for me, atleast I had a chance. That rod / reel combo was so nice too, such a pleasure to use.

Good to see/finally meet some of you guys! I stayed a little longer till 8:30a, 3 back to back hook ups in 20 minutes. 2 were LDR (shouldn't trust that stocked hook), and 1 shaker. 1 of the 2 popped felt like a keeper.
