I took the 3/4 day San Diego out of Seaforth landing. Offshore tuna hunt. Was very slow most of the day. Mix of small Bluefin and Yellowfin tuna. Line shy, small bait, #4 hooks and 15-20 pound rigs. We only had about 4 aboard, with a few lost by late afternoon. Near sunset, hit a school of 10-15# Yellowfin biters. A bunch were landed, a bunch were lost, I skunked. Good day still. Threw a Colt Sniper a lot. No love. Was wide open bite for 2 weeks, but last 4-5 days slow. Ryan the captain as always tried hard. We were late coming back, 8 pm instead of 5:30-6. A newer deckhand James was outstanding! Retying hooks, baiting people hooks, even casting out for them. And untangling lines. One of the better deckies I have seen. Full load of 45 people. Probably wait until next week to go out again. At Mission Beach for vacation. Kayak fishies Mission Bay for no love. Couple hits, no sticks on Spotted Bay bass. Predominant fish where I was fishing. Nice weather. Warm waters. 71 at the beach for boogie boarding.  Scary part was a couple miles off the Coronado Islands a fully rigged standup paddle board for fishing was floating.  Did not see anybody in the water, so hope it was just an lost board.  I think the warm waters have shut down the bay bass.  Going to try dropshot today.
