Eric I had a blast fishing the cove with you.  That place far exceeds all my expectations I had. May even try to squeeze in another outing there if I can. Never been one to Target salmon but after losing one I really want another. Thanks again

Thanks for the report. Too bad the cove is so far from San Jose... I like you rod holder setup in the back of the outback. Did you just use regular 1.5" PVC?

1 1/4 pvc.
Thanks. I might steal your design idea ;-)
Please do. Often thought about making a few to sell after the interest and feedback I've gotten on it

It was great to see you guys on Saturday. The water was just perfect. Thanks to to the ones who said to fish there over Humboldt bay that day.
Was my first time fishing the Cove. I am hooked now. Caught a beautiful Cabezon a  Ling and some blacks. First time in the ocean for my wife. She caught several fish herself.

Slow at first. Lost a nice ling right at the yak. Didn’t want to pull out the net.
Lesson learned. The rock fish bit turned on just as I needed to leave about 11:00. Was paddling back and see fish on the graph and as soon as I dropped down I would get hit. Brought home a few blacks and one blue.
Released a few others.
