Hi Naoaki,

This rod is probably too light to work with the 2.5lb balls. Will work with downriggers and deep divers though.

I will take it just in case if I can get it from you somehow...

I probably gonna go down that way on Sunday if salmon are biting there!

Ok sounds good. Was thinking about fishing Rockaway on Sunday too!

I use that same rod for salmon. It’s a great diver (or downrigger) rod, but not a great choice for heavy lead.

Thanks Alex!
I've been looking for alternative to Trevala 7'ML, so I just got this
https://www.lamiglas.com/products/lx-79-bc-bounce-hover-swimbait?variant=58876131211
but it feels little light too...

I'm going to get it & test it out!

No prob. I think you’ll like it. Nice and long, with plenty of bend to keep those barbless hooks in place. Netting will take a little practice, but I strongly believe that the length and bend of this rod helps me get more fish within netting range in the first place - even if I miss one now and then the odds are still in my favor.
