Hi I'm Dominic. Currently live in the East Bay but mostly fish out of Santa Cruz. Gone out a few times in the kayak and consistently managed to catch small(ish) rockfish. Looking to learn new strategies to  go for Lings and Halibut.

What sites do you guys use for wind and swell predictions?

Welcome to NCKA Dominic.  :smt006  Try this link below for weather forecast websites:

Welcome, Dom! I fish Santa Cruz often, hope to see you out there.

For weather, the national weather service site is the place to start. The mile buoy is a couple miles S/SE of the SC, so that's a good reference point:

https://marine.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lon=-122.00866699218751&lat=36.9400138143685#.XU2xZi3MxsM

It's useful to compare the mile buoy prediction to in town, as well as a little farther out, say 4 miles offshore.

Willy weather also has some good info (wind, tide, etc.):
https://www.willyweather.com/ca/santa-cruz-county/santa-cruz.html

This one is pretty good too---as you scroll across it'll give you wind and swell predictions:
http://solspot.com/santa-cruz-county-7-day-detailed-swell-forecast/

The surf sites are OK too. If you cross reference several and they all agree (more or less), that's usually a good sign that they might have it right.
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

Welcome Dom,

I like to use surf-forcast for quick looks, good idea to cross reference, NowhereMan got the good ones to cross with.
