Easy rainbows near Sac?

Hey all....

Looking to take the kids out on the kayak this weekend. Looking for a place to catch rainbow trout an hour or so from Sac. Any recommendations? Just moved here from WA state. Thanks.

I believe if you go to the California Dept. of Fish and Wildlife web site and look around there, it will tell you the trout planting schedule for a lot of areas. 
That would be your best bet I think.  It would be up to date.

Pardee is within an hour and is very well stocked.  If you can't catch a trout there, something is wrong!  Check their website, they plant more fish than any 2 or 3 lakes combined.  The cost is a little more, but the kids are almost guaranteed to have a good time.
