And I'm not talking about lingcod:

Went on the Red Rooster 3 for a 1.5 day trip from 7/16 - 7/18, hoping to catch a bluefin tuna.

Ended up with a limit of BFT and 3 YT.

Caught my BFT on bait, and the YT on yoyo and surface iron.

Nice! I remember reading your posts on BD asking about what boat to take. Looks like you picked a winner!

I leave for a 3.5 day on the Islander on Thursday.

Yup, that was me :smt044 Switched from the Islander to RR3, I think both boats did good in that time frame. Good luck out there, hope they bite for you!

Great job Dangalang on the Bluefin!   The RR3 is a very good operation and love the food they prepared for us-- world class!  As Rock Hopper say, you have to pick the right boat to get a good shot at the action.   I have a couple big BFT trips planned this fall too and hoping the jumbos are biting! :smt007   In the meantime, I am hoping for a shot at the "Red Meat" up here (if I can get the courage to do it!)...

Yeah RR3 has been the nicest SD boat I've been on. Good luck on your fall trips!
