Hey-

Thinking about selling my Jackson Cuda 14 (I believe it's a 2011). But I have no clue what it's worth?

It's been rinsed well after each outing, always stored under cover, used but never abused.

The lawn chair is super comfortable (paint a little chipped). Has tons of storage. Is fish finder ready (thru hull).

$500??  More/less??

Curious what anyone else thinks.

If someone bought that kayak new, it would be Over $1500.  You say its a 2011 model.  It looks to be in great shape.  I would not sell it for less than $800.  For less than that, you are giving it away.  Everyone will tell you sell it cheaper, mainly because they want to pay as little as possible for themselves.  Unless you are hard-up for cash, keep the price at $800 or above.  Kraken's are one of the best kayaks made, and the Cuda is very close second.  They hold their value better than most kayaks.  Good luck in your decision and on the sale

Thanks for your thoughts, guys— especially you Diablo, I like the way you think. It is a great boat, very solid, in good shape.

Will probably officially list it for sale in the next week or so.

Start at a $1000 or best offer.  See where it goes.  It may not sell immediately, but be patient.  I just sold my Kraken 15.5 Elite a few weeks ago.  I had it listed for about 6 weeks.  I started my sale at $1500.  I listed it here on NorCal Kayakers and on Craigslist.  I dropped it all the way down to $1200 here.  All I got were low-ballers at $1000 or less.  I dropped it to $1350 on Craigslist and it sold for what I was asking.  I live in Fresno, so I had it listed here, as well as in Monterey, Sacramento and San Francisco.  It ended up being purchased by a local guy here in Fresno.  He knew that it was worth every penny.  The Cuda is no different.  Be patient and it will sell.  This web site is not the best or only option to sell your kayak.  Again, good luck
