Newbie looking to hit the ocean

Ive been fishing the bay for a few years and ready to try some ocean fishing...anyone want to take the plunge?

My wife and I will be fishing Mendocino area (Russian Gulch or Van Damme) next week from July 2- 6th weather permitting.

I plan to launch from Pilar Point next Saturday to fish for rockfish. Maybe troll for salmon. The other locations are prime spots I’ve heard, but a lot further drive. Check out the Albion tournament.
