I saw some reviews and people use it for fishing, might be an inexpensive way to learn your way.  I like the length. :smt006

Not sure if you mean this as a primary kayak or second just because it is affordable. Seems like a good price for a good sized boat. My thought is that anything reasonably safe that gets you on the water is good. Everything after that is details. People seem to like it in reviews.

The Prism was the first yak I purchased. Did well on the ocean. Relatively light. I still have it but because of it's age, UV affects plastic over time, I don't go off shore with it anymore. They do tend to dip a bit into chop so it is a wet ride. Good deal for 200 bucks.
