Aka new Maurader I think?

Okay, maybe I missed reviews on this already? I am still using my old Cobra Fish n Dive.
Thinking about this newer Hobie. Comments on this low cost Hobie Drive appreciated by those who own, have used, or have intel on.

•How is the weight and set up (of the Drive) on this puppy?
•Does it keep up with the pack (as my Cobra is slow as molasses without a motor)?
•Is it suitable for S.F. Bay fishing as far as stability?
Thanks for any info!
I see REI is a vendor. Perhaps the best price or same anywhere at $1229?

After seeing it up close at the ARW tourney, would say it would not e good in bay. Boat is too shallow. I would spend the extra money on a hobie compass or outback. FYI I have a Native Propel 10 and love it!

I've seen one in Richmond and I would not recommend it inside the Bay.  It would be good for lakes and flat water, but seeing as it sits low in the water, a windy or choppy day in the bay would not be fun.  Would imagine a big wake from one of the many ferries, tugboats, or tankers would easily splash over the side of the passport.

Have you looked at the Pelican Catch HD?  Don't know much about how it handles in the ocean but it seems like a great deal.

My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it
