Pay 10.oo machine and wheel down to the water at Paradise Pier and be out to the spot NOW! or lug it down the rip-rap at Paradise Cay and paddle 2mi. to the spot for FREE.
Both places have restrooms. Bait is available at Loch Lomond Marina/nothin could be finner than a L.L. shinner in the MORRRRNING!
The wind was blowin everywhere both Sat & Sun, but the hills protect that area of water, hence the name, PARADISE and it was not too bad.

the pier gates open @7 or 8oo  / the Cay is not locked.

I plan to launch from the pier after getting bait in San Rafael(L.L.)

I had to put the boss on notice that ITS ON!! and I won't be makin it in tomorrow!

You're not kidding about the protection there.  I took the Larkspur Ferry home last Friday.  The wind was blowing like 30 in the city and out through the Corte Madera Creek, but the water was FAC on the back side of Angel Island, through to Cal City and Paradise.  Would love to join you but I have to WORK!  (Boss doesn't take "notice" from me!)

I'm in, Adam. F*** it!

Gonna find out for sure what time the gates at the pier open.

Per the Park's home page it opens at 7:00AM.

What time are you going to be at Loch Lomond to get bait, Adam?

Dustin,  I plan to get bait when he usually gets there....6:30-7oo then shoot (20min) to the pier.
If it said open @7? then they should have it open close to that time. Do you know where the bait shop is?

I leave work at 3:30 today.

Call me after that, I p.m.'d ya!

hey-- no reason to carry over the rip rap at the Cay. There's an old boat ramp on the inside. It looks like you're going into the construction- but its a-ok

I agree.  SteveS and I have been launching there for years without any hassle.  I may try there Wednesday morning.

http://www.tyc.org/reach_us.html

    *  Take U.S. 101 to Marin County (north of San Francisco) and exit at Paradise Drive.
    * Turn east, and remain in the right lane, going straight where the main road curves away to the left. You will quickly turn right perforce.
    * Continue about 2 1/4 miles.
    * At Antilles Drive (Paradise Cay sign), bear left down the hill.
    * Turn left at the next two stop signs; then continue along the road and out the spit to the clubhouse.

The launch that Steve and I use is an old boat ramp between the construction area... if it's still there.
